Diagnostic application for CAN bus based Lotus cars - Updated 3rd May 2024

This application allows for checking and clearing of faults including Lotus specific faults which are not picked up by normal OBDII scanners

This is for CAN bus based ECUs and modules only, this is generally approx. 2008 onwards cars. Get in touch if you are not sure if your car is supported.

Connecting to a car

DO NOT use this tool on any car that is not recognised when checking the VIN or not a Lotus!
Plug your cable into the computer and car, switch on the car ignition, then carry out one of the actions below.
You will then be prompted with a popup box, choose the JMPE Lotus CAN cable and click connect.
If you have issues or lose connection then the first thing to try is to refresh this page and start again.

VIN based vehicle information

This uses a VIN to find information about a car





Faults

Engine ECU, Gearbox TCU, and Bosch ABS module faults can be checked and cleared
Note: Some faults only trigger after several ignition or engine warm-up cycles so do not assume something has been fixed by clearing a fault code






Performance Data

Times are in the format Hours:Minutes:Seconds
Speeds are in km/h by default
Temperatures are in degrees centigrade
